Zemanta - Blogging like whoah

OK. So I was wasting some time at work and I came across the Zemanta plugin for Drupal. It got me curious so I went over to their website and basically found out it was a way to easily add relevant links and content to your blog posts. There is a browser plugin as well as plugins that reside on a the server of a self-hosted blog or CMS like Wordpress or Drupal.

I decided to install the browser plugin first to see how it works before I go installing anything on my server.

It starts making suggestions after you enter about 300 Characters, then it waits for another 300 before it analyzes what you have written and suggests stuff. You have the option to update it manually as well.

It suggests an image to plop on the top of your post, much like how you see from many pro bloggers. I guess we like pictures, even when they aren't needed. (I'm gonna add one now)

Another thing it does is suggest links to other relevant content. I can't really criticize it for giving lack-luster suggestions with this post since it is only my first experience with and let's be honest, not much substance to it either. Many of the suggested articles compare Wordpress vs. Drupal which will only increase after this I'm sure.

Well I'll keep testing out Zemanta to see what happens.
